Hide-Out! is a very simple Freeware application which allows you to take advantage of Mac OS X's ability to hide a folder by putting a full point in front of its name.
Hide-Out! will allow you to do this easily without having to use the terminal application and it now sets the invisible bit on the folder too, keeping it hidden.
So if you have some stuff that you'd like to keep away from prying eyes, you can now keep it in your Hide-Out!
When you first run Hide-Out! you will be asked for a name and password for your new hideout folder. Hide-Out! will then proceed to make the new folder and it will place it in the same directory as the Hide-Out! application [you MUST keep your hideout folder in the same directory as the application].
To use your new hideout just place the items you want to hide into your hideout folder and then click the Hide button in the window. The Status: line will indicate that your hideout is invisible and your hideout folder will disappear.
To make your Hide-Out! visible again, just type in your password and then click the Show button in the window. The Status: line will show that your hideout is visible and you hideout folder will reappear.
Now works with Tiger.
Requirements: OS X 10.2
