CipherWorks is a tool to hide, encrypt, and password protect your files, folders, hard disks, CD's, DVD's and other types of storage. Use it to password protect your data from spies, thieves, and those who should not have access.

Without your password, nobody can access your encrypted disk no matter what tools they use, or who they are. The only difference you will see in your disks is a password will be required to mount them (make them appear on your desktop). If you shut down the computer or put it into sleep mode, the encrypted disks are automatically hidden and made inaccessible until you launch CipherWorks and enter your password.

The encryption methods used (AES) were developed and reviewed by publicly recognized world leading cryptography experts. It is secure enough to stop anyone from being able to access your data, making this tool suitable for anyone, from the home user wanting to keep a diary secret, to professionals wanting to ensure that their data will be kept private no matter what happens

CipherWorks can securely encrypt folders into archives for long term safe storage or private transmission. Take files or folders and convert them to encrypted secure, "Internet friendly" archives that can be stored on your computer or sent to a friend without worrying about prying eyes. Encrypt flash drives, disk images (for burning to CD-R or DVD-R), external hard drives, pen drives, USB keys, and other media.
Encrypt your data automatically and in the background while you use your disk normally.

Delete files from your computer in a secure fashion - Copyachieved by writing an industry recognized secure pattern over the entire contents of the file, changing the relevant directory information, and then instructing the operating system to remove the remnants.

CipherWorks works with most storage devices that are compatible with your Apple Macintosh computer.
