SiteAdvisor tests the Web to help keep you safe from spyware, spam, viruses and online scams.
Safety ratings from McAfee SiteAdvisor are based on automated safety tests of Web sites (including McAfee's own site) and are enhanced with user feedback from users and their own manual analysis.
SiteAdvisor's engineers built a system of automated robots to test every Web site, download, and e-mail sign-up form on the Web.
McAfee does not accept payment from sites to be rated, so their is no conflict of interest. Safety tests are also documented for every site analyzed.
