DVDxDV is for the home video enthusiast. It allows video to be extracted from a DVD and imported into iMovie and iDVD. DVDxDV uses the same video extraction engine as DVDxDV Pro. DVDxDV exports all audio to a stereo two channel mix.
Features:
Broadcast Quality:
Many DVD conversion programs destroy the video by converting it from interlaced to progressive scan. This conversion causes the video to look terrible when viewed on a television screen. DVDxDV can preserve the native interlaced format of the DVD when you want to export the video back to a DVD or minDV tape. Therefore, you can be assured the image quality is well maintained throughout the production process.
Professional Video Certified:
DVDxDV is certified to meet the high standards of the film and television industry. DVDxDV uses a high quality conversion process to preserve the color quality of the original DVD.
Automatic Loading:
DVDxDV will automatically load the video clips from a DVD for you. Once loaded, you simply select the video you want and click to extract.
Easy to Use:
DVDxDV is designed to allow anyone to get video off of a DVD. While other programs can take a great deal of time to learn, DVDxDV is designed for people who expect things to be intuitive.
DVDxDV Pro is geared towards the video professional and features batch conversion so that multiple video can be performed at once. It is ideal for working with widescreen anamorphic video because it can automatically correct for different pixel aspect ratios. DVDxDV Pro allows you to extract multi-channel audio into individual 24 bit AIFF files (one file for each channel). The interlace field order can be changed to lower field or upper field dominant.
