Features:
Fast, Robust, Full Featured
FileFinder is built with the latest Mac OS X technologies and uses the more efficient APIs to run as fast and secure as possible. FileFinderallows multiple, background, automatic, periodical and batch cataloging.
Catalog Everything
FileFinder can catalog anything which contains files. This includes, but is not limited to, folders, internal and external drives, CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray disks, iPods, USB sticks, network volumes, etc...
Multiple Databases, Network Sharing
FileFinder works with multiple catalog databases which can be stored and accessed over the network by multiple users. Catalog databases are natively compressed to save disk space and network bandwidth.
Find Everything
FileFinder catalogs all files, including invisible ones, and bundles content. It catalogs and searches a file's metadata as well as its Finder labels, Spotlight comments and other criteria.
Rich Display
FileFinder provides Icon, List and Column views to display catalog items and search results. In List view you are able to show or hide columns and rearrange them in any order you like. Actions are also available through contextual menus from any of the Icon, List or Column views.
Create Image Previews, Store Metadata
FileFinder can create thumbnails from your images or movies with customizable size and quality, and store available metadata (EXIF, IPTC, JFIF, TIFF, etc...) in the catalog database for future browsing and searching.
Rich Customization
FileFinder lets you choose icon size, text size and font for catalogs and catalog items as well as background color for catalogs. It can also display colors related to the kind of catalog items. Additionally, icons can be adjusted in size with a slider scale in all Icon, List and Column views and Icon view allows for an extra scale factor setting.
Read Archives and ISO Image Content
FileFinder can read and search in ZIP, TAR, JAR, AR, CPIO archives and content in ISO disk images. In List view, you can also extract individual items from archives by Drag & Drop to the Finder.
Get Organized
FileFinder can create nested groups to organize your catalogs. Catalogs and groups can be moved anywhere inside the group hierarchy by simple Drag & Drop. All catalogs and groups can be renamed and own a custom icon.
Drag & Drop
Catalog anything by simple Drag & Drop to the catalogs view or the FileFinder icon. Use Drag & Drop to rearrange catalogs in groups according to your needs or import/export them to and from the Finder. Use Drag & Drop to copy catalog items to the Finder.
