iWipe securely deletes files and disks for Mac OS X. With iWipe, you can be sure that your sensitive data remains in your own hands, not in the hands of someone else. Use iWipe to delete individual files or an entire disk. Use it to wipe disks on key, SmartMedia or CompactFlash cards, Zip disks, and more.

iWipe uses Peter Gutmann's 35-pass method for Secure Deletion of Data from Magnetic and Solid-State Memory in its "Paranoid" mode. Other modes, ranging from insecure (a two-pass filter) to secure (a six-pass filter) are available as well.

Editor's Note: iWipe is no longer supported by the author.

Demo limitations: Deletes five files at a time maximum and is only capable of erasing a disk's free space.

Requirements:
OS X 10.1 or later
PPC Mac
