Sometimes the game works just fine, but frequently it causes Vista to freeze, and sometimes Vista even shuts itself down.

US Version - doesn't work unless you install Infogrames patch to version 1.29f. No issues after patch install.

The game boots but i initially get a font error: 28. I've figured that problem out but now i get an error when i tried to load an old game file. It says there is a missing line of text that has to do with the summer palace file.

Just bought a new laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium, and the game loads like normal. However, once I start the game and go to hotseat, it doesn't have working icons to change game settings, character names, or even to choose civilizations. That's as far as I can get. Again, this is the Civ III Complete game. Starting with ver 1.22, and the updates to ver 1.29f have the same result.

When I try to install the game my laptop reads the disc as a blank and tries to format it.

Runs fine on Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop, no issues installing or running, Map Editor works as well; however, I also cannot find where this application puts Saved games.... searched everywhere but can't find them in order to delete them.

I installed the original Sid Meier's
Civilization III on my Windows Vista, and the installation was a success. The only problem was that once I get on to the main menu of the game, I try to click on "new game", "quick start", or "Tutorial", but for some odd reason, it doesnt send me to the next menu. All it does is let me click it several times. I hope anyone else has this problem as well, or if anyone knows a solution to it.

I had this game running fine under xp on my old machine, got a new one running Vista with a shed load of memory (3Gb Ram, 320GN Hd, Quad core processor) and a great graphics card (xfx geforce 9500gt) and got to the date 1834 from an early start date (about a months solid gameplay) and it just stopped working during automated unit movement!!! Apparently Windows will notify me when a solution is found..... Yeah Right!!!!!!

The game runs fine, and the graphics are good during the gameplay. However, when you go the Advisors menu, the colour graphics are off. Is there a patch out to fix this problem, if so how do I get it? Thanks.

Installed okay on new Thinkpad with Windows 7, but froze up on first run at civilization selection. Then would not start at all.
On removing the program, the uninstall process removed my fingerprint reader drivers.
