The autoplay feature won&apos;t work until you install &quot;WinG&quot;, which is DirectX ancestor.

To install WinG, you have to execute &quot;install.exe&quot; from the root directory of the CivNet CDROM.

Once it&apos;s done, Autoplay should run and you should be able to install CivNet without issues. However, you should install it under either the default directory or at least a short directory to avoid problems that could arise with long file names.

Then search &quot;civnetp3.zip&quot; on the web and unzip the files over the existing file under your CivNet installation to update the game.

WOrks well with Windows XP, should works well with Windows 2000 too.
