This is in reference to Post #12053, Thanks for the link, it's great to play an oldie but goodie (Command & Conquer Red Alert) I was wondering if you may know of a link that I may be able to install The first Command & Conquer. It sucks, moving from windows XP to Vista, and trying to find new ways to try to play old games such as C&C. I would appreciate if you could help, thanks again for the helpful link as well.

I had this problem, when I try to install the installer come up, (and I got past the "you are running windows 6.0" error), but now it keeps coming up with "Not all the files necessary are present" or something like that. I'm confused. I'll keep trying to re-install and stuff like that.

It took me a while to get it working, but I installed the XP Patch (which seems to work for Vista too) and then set it to Win95 Compatability mode under properties, ticking the following boxes as well:
Run in 256 colours (may run without, haven't tried)
Run in 640x480 resolution (may run without)
Disable visual themes
Disable desktop composition
Disable display scaling on high DPI settings.
Having done all of that, I got it to work for me.

Tried various things to get Red Alert Command & Conquer working on my machine with windows Vista but like someone else on another post keep getting the error message RA95.exe - entry point not found with the detail as - "The procedure entry point SMap_IP_EBP_12 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"
I tried the things on the other posts but could not get access to the patch as mentioned in post 14236 or 33247
