On Vista 32 the game crashes when loading a track. Only the menus are accessible. As far as I know, there's no known fix.

When installed on Vista Ultimate 32, tried to run it straight away, and only the menus worked. When i tried to start a race, it would crash back to the desktop. Setting the compatibility mode to 98/me seemed to fix it!

If it is run at Win 98 compatibility mode it works, but it crashes if you press Escape during a race.
It also has some audio problems (crackling noise).

One of my favorite games ever. The mods are awesome. Worked fine on XP, then Vista. But on Windows 7 I get just a black screen. Nothing.
