This product seems to work out of the box! I'm a homestudist (means i create records music with my pc! For linux audio firewire it is recommended to have a firewire with Texas Instruments chipset.. i already had a Belkin with T.I. chipset but i was good surprised when i saw that the firewire had a Texas Instruments chipset.. Great!!! because it's very important for who wanted to use firewire audio interface under Linux (for more stability)! Then i didn't use my Belkin but i keep it ;-)
