Ubuntu Gusty works great. The only issue I have found is the FN keys don't work and once and while the sound plays via the speakers when headphones are plugged in. I could only get 512Mb of ram to install so that must be the limit for this Notebook. However Ubuntu runs well even with Compiz/fusion running.

BTW...even running XP on the n5445, the audio is audible through the speakers sometimes when the headphones are plugged in...

I've loaded Ubuntu from the disk and it ran fine/looked fine on the n5445.
