The retail CD version comes with Starforce. The drivers are now WHQL Certified but you'll have to update them. If you install from a CD you'll be asked to reboot by Starforce. Don't reboot but run the Starforce update then you can reboot. Get the update tool can be found on the Starforce page or use this link... http://www.star-force.com/support/sfdrvup.zip

I knew the game used Starforce, so I went and got a no DVD patch which solved the problem.
