Works well in only in analog in Fedora 5, 6, 7, Ubuntu 6.06-7.10, kubuntu 7.04-7.10. I can't yet get versions with ABit KV8-Pro 3rd-Eye and Soltek K8T-Pro mainboards using the optical i/o jacks to work.
Often, I do like using 3rd-party sound cards with these boards, yet, I like the special sound effects from the onboard chips when I have to resort to the Wintel world: So, continually, I try in vain to get the chips to work digitally in my Linux distros. ALSA has many digital settings for the chips, yet these don't help make the chips work in digital i/o.
