Budget is based on the tried and true envelope method of budgeting. It’s a much easier way to see where your money is, where it’s needed, and where it went.

Why use other money-management programs that tell you where you spent your money after you have spent it, when what you really need to know is how much money you have before you spend it? Budget shows you how much money you have allocated in every category so you never spend more than you have.

Limitations: The trial has no definite expiration time; instead during the trial various features are disabled or limited. Budget can record only 250 transactions total (25 transactions in any single envelope), and can only balance each bank account 4 times if it is not purchased. Also when Budget is purchased, the watermark on reports and printed checks will no longer appear, transaction and report data can be exported in various formats, the Find Transaction command can have unlimited number of criteria, and additional backup options will be available.
