Have you ever been working on a project, and need to get info from the web quickly? Like an image from Google or a definition from Dictionary.com, but don't want to open bulky apps like Safari or Firefox, especially on slower machines. DeskBrowse enables you to have the internet at your fingertips, at the touch of a button. It places a lightweight web browser with very little CPU requirements at your fingertips. DeskBrowse has two modes, a SlideBrowser mode which is a small panel that slides from the side of the screen and a Websposé mode, which places the user in a 'kiosk-mode' web environment.
Another innovative feature of DeskBrowse is the BezelWindow design. These windows are perfect for History, Downloads and Bookmarks, because they take up such little space, and are semi-transparent, so you can see what is going on behind. These bezels are activated using the Action Menu, which pops up when you click the little gear beside the Back / Forward / Stop / Reload / etc. buttons. This is yet another example of where DeskBrowse innovates with new things, rather than follow the traditional way that browsers look.
DeskBrowse was developed with one thing in mind: a way to get information from the web quickly and easily in a nice user interface with the least hassle involved for the end user.
