Features:
Smart Disk Space Visualization
Most advanced disk space visualization on the market. It is based on the combination of the fine-tuned color-coded sunburst and bar charts. Both kinds of charts are complementary to each other. The disk space map is fully interactive – clicking on any sector moves it to the forefront and you can see everything on that level in greater detail. Placing the cursor over any ring sector lists its child folders and files on the right side bar (inspector).Learn more
Real-time Disk Health Diagnostics
DiskRadar performs real-time hard drive health status monitoring. It utilizes the SMART technology to track the status of the internal hard disks. Unlike most disk utilities, DiskRadar does not just monitor the disk’s SMART status, but also analyzes the changes of all disk parameters that are closely related to HDD failures (like the pending bad sectors count, reallocated bad sectors, uncorrectable bad sectors, CRC errors and more) and alerts the user immediately if anything goes wrong. Our disk health diagnostics algorithms are based on the recent researches in this field (like ‘Failure Trends in a Large
Disk Drive Population’ by Google).
Real-time Visualization of Disk Scanning Results
DiskRadar visualizes disk scanning results on the fly!Forget about boring progress bars! Our disk scanning and analysis engine is so fast and efficient that it easily allows visualization and animation of the current indexing results in real time. And even with such real-time visualization, DiskRadar easily outperforms most of its competitors!
Smart Callouts
DiskRadar will automatically range and highlight the main space wasters with the help of callouts. During the scanning process, DiskRadar analyzes the disk space usage and automatically classifies, ranges and highlights the biggest files and folders using callouts. They help to visually identify the biggest files at a glance.
Automatic highlighting of rarely used files and folders
DiskRadar will locate and highlight rarely used files and folders for you. Color scheme is based on the concept of a “heat map”. “Hot” red areas represent recently used files and folders, while “cold” blue areas are rarely used files and folders. All other “intermediate” files are rendered in yellow or green depending on the date they were last accessed on. Use a slider to set the “cold” limits if rarely used files are highlighted or the “heat” limits if recently modified files are highlighted.
Handy Disk Cleanup
• Disk cleanup is easy as 1,2,3.
• Scan your disk. DiskRadar will visually help you find all major space wasters.
• Mark all the “bad guys” for removal or just drag & drop them onto the trash icon.
• Press the “Move All to System Trash” button.
Scan as Administrator mode
DiskRadar (Pro version) has an option of scanning disk contents as the Administrator (with root user privileges). This feature allows you to analyze, preview and delete files or folders of all users regardless of any access permissions. You do not need to deal with any "command line magic" - just enable the 'Scan as Administrator' mode in DiskRadar.
Hard Drive Temperature Monitor
DiskRadar traces the drive’s temperature to prevent overheating. It can display the temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit degrees (configurable option). For your convenience, DiskRadar can display the current disk temperature in the Mac menu bar.
There are three versions of DiskRadar: Lite, Pro and Pro Family Pack. A comparison matrix between these versions is available here.
