Features:
Component Library:
The Component Library allows you to select one of 22 components, customize it, and insert it into an HTML document. From Slideshows to Pie Charts, from Accordion Controls to Scrollable Tables, the Component Library has the widgets that web designers have often wanted to add to web pages, but until now have been very encumbering. The Component Library revolutionizes how web designers create web pages.
Code Coloring:
As you edit your document, Taco HTML Edit colors your markup to make it easier to read and navigate. The coloring is customizable; you can even set the background of your documents to be semi-transparent, so you can see windows behind the frontmost one. Taco HTML Edit supports coloring for HTML, PHP, CSS, and JavaScript syntax.
Preview:
Taco HTML Edit allows you to preview your HTML and PHP documents as you edit them. Taco HTML Edit provides a convenient menu for previewing in Camino, Firefox, OmniWeb, Opera, and Safari. You can also specify any application as the default application for previewing. When you preview a PHP document, Taco HTML Edit will first pre-process it with your local PHP installation, so that you can view the final results.
Code Completion:
Taco HTML Edit has code completion, to help you learn and remember HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP names for tags, attributes, and functions. Suggested completions include links to the relevant documentation, and a brief description of the selected choice. Support for HTML5 and CSS3 is included.
Syntax Checking:
Taco HTML Edit supports HTML Transitional syntax checking, so you can ensure that there are no mistakes in your HTML documents. Taco HTML Edit also includes built-in support to check the syntax of HTML resulting from a processed PHP document. Taco HTML Edit can automatically organize the tags in your documents, so that your HTML tags are indented based on how deep they are nested.
Live Preview:
In addition to normal document previewing, Taco HTML Edit has Live Previewing, which allows you to see changes in how your document renders while you are editing it. This can be very useful for fine-tuning the appearance of a document, as you can instantly see how changes in a color or other parameter will affect the appearance of your document. Live Preview will also preprocess PHP code when needed.
Code Clips:
If you ever get tired of copying and pasting frequently used pieces of markup, then Taco HTML Edit's Code Clips will alleviate your problems. Code Clips allow you to easily store, manage, and access frequently used segments of markup. With Code Clips, you can assign keyboard shortcuts (Command + 0-9) to insert a clip into a document. You can also insert clips through Taco HTML Edit's Code Completion panel.
