Eudora includes support for LDAP, automatic configuration, and support for graphics within messages. It also allows regular expressions in filters and features an automatic spelling checker, as well as a speech option that will even read your e-mail out loud. Other features include IMAP support, the ability to display animated GIFs in HTML messages, and automatic mail retrieval in the background.
This program can operate in either of two user-selectable modes. Sponsored mode allows you to use all features of Eudora at no charge, but displays advertisements. Light mode includes a sponsor image or logo, but no rotating advertising; however, you only get access to Eudora's basic features. You can switch between the Light mode and the Sponsored mode at any time.
Editor's Note: The Paid mode commercial versions of Eudora are no longer available. The Sponsored mode versions of Eudora continue to be available for download. An open source version of Eudora has been developed by Mozilla.
