Why buy Pro? Unlike too many things in this world, the answer to that question is pretty simple. If you want to create (awesome, awe-inspiring) DivX videos, you should consider buying DivX Pro. If you are primarily interested in just watching (awesome, awe-inspiring) DivX videos, you should download
DivX for Mac, and then, if so inclined, use the trial versions of the DivX Converter and DivX Pro Codec to create your own videos and decide if you want to upgrade. (If, on the other hand, you don't know what the word "video" means and your primary interest is, say, traveling the world to compete in professional hot-dog eating contests, then you may be in the wrong place entirely.
