iDefrag provides defragmentation & optimization for Mac OS X. iDefrag supports the very latest filesystem features, including case sensitivity, journaling and adaptive hot file clustering.
iDefrag has four different defragmentation tools, supporting:
-Disk compaction (useful when resizing small disks with iPartition).
-Metadata optimization.
-Advanced, programmable optimization.
-On-line defragmentation.
Limitations: This is a demo version, will not defrag disks over 100MB in size.
Requirements:
OS X 10.3.7 or later
To defragment your boot volume, you need to boot from a different volume (except for on-line defragmentation feature). N.B. Some G5 machines with Western Digital hard disks may experience problems due to an unresolved
hardware issue.
