HotService, a Cocoa Input Manager bundle, activates the shortcuts for all Mac OS X services such as WordService, CalcService or the DEVONthink service, right after launching Cocoa applications. It is still necessary to open the application menu at least once before the keyboard shortcuts are available. This is extremely annoying, for example when storing text clippings using the DEVONthink services.
Also, HotService 2.0 moves the Services menu to the top level of the menu bar, next to the Window menu. Note: This Services menu is only visible in true Cocoa applications such as TextEdit, Mail or all our applications. Version 2.1 improves the compatibility to faceless background applications. Version 2.2 reduces the title of the Services menu to a bullet to save menu bar real estate, and intializes the menu faster.
