This Dashboard widget checks your eMail without having Apple Mail running all the time. It has been especially made for those who were leaving their eMails on the mail-server after having received them. MailWidget will tell if there are new emails that hadn’t already been received by Apple Mail.
New in this version:
Changed behaviour so MailWidget does no longer check for mails after waking up when it was set to check only when Dashboard is being activated
Fixed problem with playback of the default announcement sounds in Snow Leopard
Fixed displaying problem where account names contained Unicode characters in the account list
Improved reliability with IMAP servers
Fixed compatibility to IMAP servers that do not stick tight to the IMAP protocol
Improved reliability on fetching header information (sender and subject)
Author's Note: The support for Tiger has been dropped. The latest version that will support Tiger is 3.08.
