TNEF's Enough allows Macs to read and extract files from Microsoft TNEF stream files. The files are usually received by SMTP based e-mail programs from Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Outlook users. The SMTP based e-mail program will usually receive either a MIME attachment named "winmail.dat" or a MIME attachment with the type "application/ms-tnef."
If you converse with Outlook/Exchange users and things aren't set up correctly, attachments can be sent that are wrapped up in a file named "winmail.dat" The file is a rich text (or MAPI) message that is not usable to Mac users or anyone not using Outlook/Exchange. If Outlook has a person set in the address book as being able to receive "Rich Text" instead of "Plain Text" or "HTML", then the recepient will receive the TNEF file even if they don't use Outlook.
TNEF's Enough will help by identifying the embedded files and allowing them to be extracted.
