You Synchronize is an award-winning file synchronization and backup utility that is designed for Mac OS X users who work on the same files on more than one computer. You Synchronize allows you to effortlessly backup or synchronize all of your files and folders.
Consolidation is not synchronization. The majority of synchronization programs are designed to simply consolidate the contents of two folders. Unfortunately, it is extremely error prone because, used exclusively, modification dates are not reliable. You Synchronize removes these limitations by using the superior Time And State (TAS) synchronization technique which uses CRC32-bit checksums to determine if a file has changed, not just the modification date.
You Synchronize takes the concept of standard folder synchronization to the next level by maintaining a database of detailed information about the files and folders you synchronize. When you synchronize your folders, You Synchronize uses this database to determine what files were added, removed and modified since your last synchronization. This means you can work on files in multiple locations at the same time without hesitation.
Because not all files and synchronization projects are the same, Time and State is not the only method that You Synchronize offers. You have your choice of four different comparison methods so you can choose the one that best fits your project.
You Synchronize also correctly synchronizes files between Mac OS X and Windows file servers.
