SMS Mac Address Book plug-in lets you use your Mac to enter SMS text and send the SMS through the Internet. Just open the Address Book card of your friend or contact, click the 'mobile' label and choose the command 'Send SMS' from the popup menu. You don't even need a mobile phone. SMS Mac will send the SMS for you.

PS: The Group SMS plug-in is implemented as a Contextual Menu Item (CMI) plug-in. Unfortunately, on Snow Leopard, the Address Book application does not support CMI plug-ins anymore. To still send Group SMS, there are the following workarounds:
Launch the Address Book in 32-bit mode
Use the Send SMS Dashboard Widget
To launch the Address Book in 32-bit mode, choose Get Info on the Address Book application and enable the Open in 32-mode checkbox.
